Med-Checklist (2)

Med-Checklist is a critical, synonymic checklist of genera, species and subspecies present in the Mediterranean area, with country-by-country distributions. It has provided a nomenclatural standard for many other works.
Volumes 1, 3 and 4 (1984-1989) were published jointly by the Conservatoire et Jardin Botaniques de la Ville de Genève and the Botanischer Garten & Botanisches Museum Berlin-Dahlem, under the auspices of OPTIMA.

After a lengthy interruption, vol. 2, entirely devoted to the Compositae family, was published at the end of 2008 jointly by the OPTIMA Secretariat, Palermo, Med-Checklist Trust of OPTIMA, Genève and Euro+Med Plantbase Secretariat, Berlin.
